Master Thesis

In the third (3rd) semester, the Master Thesis is prepared. For this purpose, the postgraduate student requests the preparation of the master thesis. The application indicates the proposed title, the proposed supervisor and a summary of the proposed thesis is attached. The Steering Committee, if it approves the application, recommends to the Department Assembly the formation of an Examination Committee consisting of three members and the appointment of a supervising professor.

The presentation of the master thesis is defended before the three-member Examination Committee on a date and place determined by the Steering Committee. In exceptional cases, if there is an objective inability or a significant reason, it is possible to replace the supervisor or member of the three-member Examination Committee following a decision of the Department Assembly. It is not possible to change the topic of the students’ postgraduate thesis, except with the recommendation of the Steering Committee and a decision of the Department Assembly, after a reasoned recommendation of the supervising professor. Changing the topic of the postgraduate thesis is in no way a reason for extending the prescribed deadlines.
